A Future for North East Scotland’s Church Heritage
With the closure and sale of places of worship, how do we respond and what support is available?
A day conference in central Aberdeen on Saturday 31 August will explore our church heritage in North East Scotland.
Church buildings are very often the most significant work of architecture in a village, town or city. Some may even have their origins in ancient holy sites. All are significant as part of community history and memory.
Speakers from churches, churches charities, development associations and trusts, amongst others, will contribute to an event which will focus on the significance of church architecture and how it is inceasingly necessary to find new uses that ensure the future of this part of our North East heritage.
Tickets for the event are free but are limited and must be booked in advance. There is an opportunity to make a donation towards event costs.
Fuller details of the event and ticketing can be found here.
