Aberdeen Doors Open Day 2023 is almost here!

The annual celebration of Aberdeen’s buildings is just over a week away

Over 40 properties are opening on the first weekend September 2023 as part of Aberdeen Doors Open Day. The long-running festival is a celebration of Aberdeen’s architecture and public buildings that contribute to the life of the City.

This year a variety of scientific or educational establishments and places of worship feature, along with some favourites including Bon Accord Baths and the Fire Station. If you fancy trying something a bit different, why not try some Croquet in Wesburn Park, courtesy of Aberdeen Saints Croquet Club!

Trust Chair Craig Wilson said:

The Trust is delighted to provide support to Doors Open Day 2023 towards the cost of producing publicity leaflets this year. Doors Open Day has become a regular and important part of Aberdeen’s September calendar of events. It’s a great day out and a good way to get to know buildings in the City that we might not normally think of visiting. It also highlights the richness and variety of Aberdeen’s architecture.

Some properties require booking. Do check the programme for which properties are open on Saturday 2 September and/or Sunday 3 September.  Download a leaflet for the event here: Doors Open 2023-PRINT  Further details of the event and any updates can be found on the Aberdeen Doors Open Day Facebook page. For a location map of open properties in Aberdeen and for Doors Open Days in September across other areas in Scotland, visit the national Doors Open Day website.
